Romania- the "heart-shaped" country

We are special, do you remember ?!

Romania, the country of misteries, of mixtures, of beautiful mountains, with ancient and amazing castles and the Carpathian forests.

The kings and princes like our country, they visit it and even by land here.

But, I was wondering, what have we missed on the way to nowadays capitalism ?! Why we have financial issues into a rich country as Romania?! We got out from comunism by a revolution…just killing the comunist president was not Romanians choice, by the way. Since then, we changed goverments after goverments, political leaders come and go…but not with empty hands ! Anyway, something is missing here in all this “Matrix”… Looking closer at what we were, what we had and what we beginning to become we can realize that we are losing the most important wealth: self respect, dignity, good sense and intelligence. We have such a brilliant culture, geniuses in science, medicine, engineering… Do you remember them?!

There was a question on TV today: appointed a personality of Romanian culture with first name “Nicolae”…the competitors didn’t know !!!! It is scaring… We are a smart people…what it is happening?! We are living into a heart-shaped  country, placed at “the Gate of Orient”. We are special in many ways.

The capitalism can become a plague for people who get blind by its false shine. To be stupid and rich it is not a good choice…Look at News- who is in jail now ?! So,we must remember who we really are! There are children who are growing without any life-value! This is very serious- in THEIR hands is OUR future!

Have you ever tried the taste of poverty?

The taste of poverty is an injustice which puts the human in humiliating and shortage, it is a barrier in front of many people's hopes and a well-known word.
When I was younger, I thought  that, when I asked my father to buy me an expensive toy and he answered he couldn't that means we are poor people; or when I saw my friends wearing  cloths  better than mine, I was thinking the same. But now, I realized what poverty means.
Let me tell you the story that started 4 years ago, when I decided to visit my new 16 years old friend, at her house, in Hebron. The house was small, old building from outside. She opened the door, after I had knocked. I remember that I have never seen her so confused as she felt that day.  She didn't want me to come in, but her mother invited me. My friend become angry and she start talking with her mother by hand signs. At that moment, I realized that her mother is deaf. The house was very small: one room, the bathroom and the kitchen. I had to bend a little because the ceiling was very down.  Their cloths were torn and too short for their body. She felt shy when she didn't know where to sit down… So, we sat down on the dusty floor.

Recently, we met again. I was surprised that she left school for two years already, because the poverty. But, the lack of money, bar the way for all her four brothers to continue their studies.  And, then, I asked myself: what would be if everyone start thinking of others and take a step to change a person life?  Sure this world will become better.

World’s wound

We are living into a never-ending war world… And if we watch this issue closer we can see clearly that all fights are for economic benefits. Of course, the mask of these interests are many: religious beliefs, land defending, army help…and the list can goes on. But, no. Nowadays, war and fights are for one and only reason: power for obtain money, lands, gold, diamonds, oil and to control the life on this planet. Right? Sure. Why? Funny questions with a very large and profound answer. But, for how long can we keep our eyes closed and our ears deaf ? Children die in hunger and thirsty, women are humiliated and killed without any right, men are killed in fights, or are crushed without dignity.
And all these are happening right now, in many countries, all over the world.
I am sure you know the story of that photo-reporter who committed suicide after he made many photos in Somalia. Many of these photos can be seen on internet. Every one of these cruel images was payed with millions of dollars. Outrageous, isn’t it? Starving children images value a fortune! But their lives value nothing.

!
Many of us are wondering if there is a God and why He lets all these happen !  We can try an answer, but, of course, it would not be the real and the right one. It is much above us. But we can do what it is in our power. We can stop being blind and deaf and start see the world’s bleeding wound for healing it. Because we can.

DO YOU KNOW THAT MONKS KILL ? !

I want this article to be the first one on this blog. The reason is that Burma is an African country not known too much but people suffer an internal terror there. Please read and make comments, if you want.

WHAT DO YOU KNOW
ABOUT CRIMES IN BURMA ?

Burma has imposed a state of emergency in the central town of Meikhtila

Reports from Meikhtila, a town 90 miles south of Mandalay, described scenes of devastation, with charred bodies lying in the streets and mosques and Muslim-owned businesses burned to the ground. Gangs of Buddhists, including monks, are reported to be roaming the city attacking Muslims, hundreds of whom have taken refuge in a local football stadium.

Around five per cent of Burma's 60 million people are Muslims. Tensions between the majority Buddhists and Muslims were suppressed under the military regime that ran Burma until 2011. Now, the resentment between the two communities appears to becoming increasingly violent.

Under the British rule, economic pressures and xenophobia contributed to the rise of anti-Indian, and later anti-Muslim sentiment. Following an anti-Indian riot in 1930, racial tensions flared between the ethnic Burmese, Indian immigrants, and British rulers. Burmese sentiment turned against those viewed as foreigners, including Muslims of all ethnic groups. Following this, an anti-Muslim riot occurred in 1938, strongly influenced by newspapers.

Myanmar (Burma) is a multi-religious country. There is no official state religion, but the government shows preference for Theravada Buddhism, the majority religion. According to both the statistics published by the Burmese government and the CIA, it is practiced by 89% of the population, especially among the Bamar, Rakhine, Shan, Mon, and Chinese. The new constitution provides for the freedom of religion; however, it also grants broad exceptions that allow the regime to restrict these rights at will.

Although Burma's Jews once numbered in the thousands, there are currently only approximately 20 Jews in Yangon (Rangoon), where the country's only synagogue is located. Most of the Jews left Myanmar at the commencement of the Second World War, and also after General Ne Win took over in 1962. Hinduism is practiced mainly by Burmese Indians.

The Muslim and Christian populations are said to face religious persecution in Myanmar. Since independence, successive governments (both democratic and military) did not grant the citizenship of the Muslim Rohingya of Northern Rakhine and forbid missionary activities. The Rohingyas have been forced to flee to neighbouring Bangladesh or to Muslim states. Their claim to citizenship has been marred by disputes with the ethnic Arakanese, who are mainly Buddhists. Some Rohingyas claim to be the original inhabitants of the region, even stating that the temples of Mrauk U were once Rohingya mosques. Those claims have caused the Buddhist Arakanese to be hostile to the Rohingya.
Many minority religions claim that they have a greater following than the official statistics but they also tend to over represent the number of adherents.
